Four elder members of Orange County Buddhist Church meet with Rev. Marvin Harada.
The Society for the Promotion of Buddhism (Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai) is airing “The Buddhist Way of Life” every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on KXLA – Channel 44 (The channel may vary depending on the TV service you have).
In November, the program focuses on Buddhism and the Elderly. Four members of the Orange County Buddhist Church in Anaheim share with Rev. Marvin Harada their life-long experiences with Buddhism. The church members are Mr. Kei Shimizu, 82-year old, Mr. Tak Kosakura, 75-year old, Mrs. Sachi Ochiai, 88-years old, and Mrs. Masako Hamada, 86-years old.
In the episode on Nov. 4, they talk about seniors and the temple community. On Nov. 11, the episode entitled “Life Experiences and Buddhism” will air to discuss how life experiences can deepen one’s understanding of Buddhism.
On Nov. 18, the part two of the previous episode will explain how Buddhism can help one deal with difficulties in life.
